Tyumen fences off Respublika Street building for reconstruction

Fences were installed around the property in early 2026.
In the center of Tyumen, a fence has been erected around a building located at 137 Respublika Street. Signs have been removed from the facades and reconstruction of the property has commenced.

The building is at the intersection of Kholodilnaya and Respublika streets.
The client for the work is Transneft-Siberia. The company«s office building is located nearby. We tried to find out the company»s plans for the reconstructed building and what they intend to do there, but had not received a response by the time of publication.

Contractors plan to finish the facade work by September 2026.
According to the property«s passport, the contractor ESB LLC is bringing the building»s facades up to code. The work is scheduled for completion in September 2026.
Previously, we reported that a long-unfinished high-rise building near the Central Department Store (TsUM) in Tyumen had begun to be dismantled. The office building could not be completed for several years. Eventually, construction of the multifunctional complex will be taken over by a company owned by Vladimir Shevchik. The 20-story building will house a five-star hotel, a fitness center with a pool, a congress hall, and a panoramic restaurant.
We also reported that work continues on transforming a constructivist monument — the round bathhouse. Plans call for it to become a modern planetarium. Design documentation is being developed to preserve the structure.
