Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky claims that a new round of three-way consultations between Russia, the US, and Ukraine on settling the Ukrainian crisis will take place in Abu Dhabi next week. He stated this in his Telegram channel.

«We just received a report from our negotiation team. The dates for the next three-way meetings have been set — February 4 and 5 in Abu Dhabi. Ukraine is ready for a substantive conversation, and we are interested in the result bringing us closer to a real and dignified end to the conflict,» the Ukrainian leader wrote.

Updated 14:45 MSK: The talks that were supposed to take place in Abu Dhabi on February 1 have been postponed after a meeting between Russia and the US in Miami, reports The New York Times. No reasons are given.

Recently, Zelensky stated that he is ready to personally meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Ukrainian leader wants to discuss issues of territories and the future of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Within the peace process, these two topics remain the most problematic.

As noted by the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sybiha, Kyiv intends to sign a 20-point peace agreement on settling the conflict with the US. Then the US will sign this document with Russia. At the same time, the participation of the European Union is not anticipated.

US President Donald Trump and other representatives of the American administration believe that the countries are «very close» to a settlement. The head of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, agrees with this. He stated that the conflict parties are closer to a possible peace agreement than at previous stages of the negotiations.
