Yekaterinburg woman accuses husband of abuse, watermelon attack

A Yekaterinburg woman named Olga has complained that her husband Alexander beats her. According to the woman, conflicts had occurred before, but recently divorce proceedings began, and life turned into a real hell. She said the man has started periodically throwing scandals and becoming physically violent. And the day before, Alexander came to Olga«s workplace and hit her on the head with a mobile phone.
One of the conflicts occurred on 18 January when the woman was at work
«Yesterday he came to confront me about going to restaurants! There»s a trend from 2016 going viral on social media now, and I also posted such photos [of a restaurant visit] from 10 years ago,« the woman said.
The day before, the woman wrote another police statement
Olga has written several statements to the police, but this has not calmed Alexander down.
«At the end of March 2025, he beat me in the car near the atelier. My colleagues witnessed everything that happened. And in October, he smashed a watermelon on my head. In November, when he came to pick up the last things, a scandal started. I had to run to my mother»s place around 4 a.m. in just my pajamas.«
Police referred Olga to have her injuries documented
Alexander himself, in a conversation with the local news site E1.RU, stated that Olga started attacking him when he simply came to pick up his things.
«I have no conflict with her. She made it up herself. I»m trying to save the family. As a wife, I love her. And I«m doing everything to postpone [the divorce],» Alexander stated.
The city police department reported that they have begun a check on this case. Olga was referred for a medical examination.
