On October 26, Kirill Sergeyevich from Ishim celebrated his birthday — he had just turned 18. The young man was returning home late after the party, and cameras last recorded him walking towards a bridge on the outskirts of the city.

We asked Kirill«s mother, Yekaterina Sergeyevich, to tell us about the circumstances of her son»s disappearance, how the search is progressing, and what might have happened to him. The young man is being searched for, and they hope to find him alive.

A Kind Young Man

“He has a very gentle character, wouldn«t hurt anyone. He would only stand up for someone. He was always calm, I was never called to school for his behavior,” says the young man»s mother, Yekaterina.

Kirill is studying to be a mechanic at a technical college and has already entered his third year. In school, he was involved in Cossack activities and practiced sambo. He worked out on pull-up bars, and recently his mother bought him a gym membership. According to her, her son was never seen in shady companies and never did anything illegal.

“Maybe, of course, I don«t know something, you don»t tell your mother everything. But he always shared everything with me. [If something happened], he would walk around first, be silent, and then say: ‘Mom, I want to talk to you.’ That is, we are close, he always shares everything with his dad too. If something needs to be done around the house, he always helps,” reflects Yekaterina.

Kirill celebrated his coming of age with his family — they had a fun and heartfelt gathering. Towards evening, he went for a walk with his friend Danya, and then went to Ishim to see him off to Tobolsk for work.

Disappearance

Kirill, together with a mutual friend Ksyusha, saw his friend off to the station, then saw her home as well. From Ksyusha«s house, he called a taxi to the bar “Aladdin,” where he was joined by his friend Kalikhan. As Kirill»s mother relays the words of the establishment«s owner, he left the bar around 2:30.

“According to all the cameras we«ve reviewed, he reached the bridge that leads to Sinitsyna. And it turns out, the camera last recorded him when he reached the bridge. Then everything cuts off. We just don»t understand where he went,” says Yekaterina.

On October 27 around nine o«clock, a teacher from the technical college called Yekaterina and reported that Kirill was not in class. The woman went to check on her son in the banya, thinking he might have gone to sleep there, but she didn»t find him there either. After that, the mother started sounding the alarm.

“Naturally, I started questioning his friends, they couldn«t reach him either. When I went to work at night, an investigator had already contacted me, and they started searching. From October 28, we began independent searches — from the place where his phone died,” recalls the mother.

Then volunteers joined the search — as search parties look for Kirill, we wrote in a separate article. More than two weeks have passed since the disappearance, but no traces of the young man have been found.

What Could Have Happened?

According to the missing person«s mother, the first version that authorities began considering is that Kirill fell or jumped from the bridge. Both the police and search parties combed the entire riverbank, motorboats were used, but neither Kirill»s body nor any signs that he drowned were found. The mother, in a conversation with 72.RU, also assured that the boy could not have done anything to himself.

Relatives are discussing the version that Kirill might have gotten into one of the cars that were driving in the area of the disappearance at that time. Perhaps someone gave the young man a ride to a place where cameras were no longer recording, and his trail ended elsewhere.

Kirill«s mother notes that he didn»t drink at home, and at the bar, apparently, he drank no more than two cans of beer, so “he was walking home briskly.” The camera recordings say the same thing. The parents continue to search for him.

“I feel that he is alive and… everything else,” said Yekaterina Sergeyevich.

The last major search outing was organized by the “Liza Alert” volunteers on November 5. Twenty people participated — volunteers, search services, and concerned residents of Ishim. They combed the shore, the city, and nearby settlements again.

“Reports came to the Liza Alert hotline that a similar young man was seen in Tyumen. Surveillance camera searches were conducted in Tyumen at places where the similar person might have been seen, but the reports could not be confirmed. At the moment, the search for information about Kirill«s possible location continues. As soon as reports come in, volunteers go out to follow up on them,” 72.RU was told by the search team.

You can also help in the search. If you are ready to join the team, call the Liza Alert hotline at 8(800)700-54-52. If you have any information about Kirill«s location, report it by calling 112 or the team»s hotline.
