Tyumen Girl Abducted by Roma Near School: Fate Unfolded
The grandmother of 14-year-old Sasha, who was attempted to be abducted by Roma at the beginning of this year, has told how the fate of her granddaughter and the criminals unfolded. Recall that the girl got into a car near a school in the settlement of Knyazhevo (Tyumen Oblast). There, according to Sasha«s family, were the driver, a 15-year-old boy, his mother, and aunt. They all came for the girl to take her to a Roma camp in Volgograd and marry her off. Law enforcement officers intercepted the car in Saratov Oblast — more than 1,200 kilometers from Knyazhevo.
According to Natalya, Sasha«s mother attended the court. The grandmother claims that the hearing took place in the Bogandinsky Magistrate»s Court.
— She took pity on them. Sasha«s mother went to court. I asked her: »Did you take a reconciliation?« She says: »No, left it to the court«s discretion.» And I asked her not to reconcile. Not to put up with this, — Natalya, Sasha«s grandmother, tells 72.RU.
Natalya says she is dissatisfied with the decision.
— If I had gone — I wouldn«t have left it like that. I wanted them to be punished. At least a fine or community service, — says the girl»s grandmother. — I don«t know if my granddaughter is in contact with them now. Recently someone called her, I scolded her.
Natalya says that after what happened, Sasha did not go to school for a month — she was recovering. Now the girl continues her studies and still lives with her parents in Knyazhevo.

— A criminal case was opened. Recently, we checked with colleagues: the case was closed due to reconciliation of the parties. There are a number of video confirmations where this girl gets into the car completely calmly, no one is pushing her in. At first, it caused a resonance that she was stolen. But then it turned out that she was «stolen» in quotes. This is some kind of tradition, so it«s important that each specific case receives a legal assessment, — said Roman Rzayev.
History Repeats Itself
In the summer of 2024, a similar story occurred. 15-year-old Yulia from a settlement near Kurgan, after an invitation from a boy, went to a Roma camp of Moldovan Roma in Tyumen. Her mother asked law enforcement to return her daughter — the police did not do so immediately. The girl came home only after 5 months. Yulia was already 3 months pregnant.
