In Tula on January 27, an incident occurred that could have ended in tragedy. A 30-year-old Tula resident entered the construction site of the Inspiration residential complex and fell into an open elevator shaft.

The press service of the regional prosecutor«s office reported on the initiated inspection regarding compliance with urban planning legislation and labor protection rules.

According to available information, the man was not a worker and did not have permission to be on the construction site. How and why he accessed the construction site is unknown.

The Tula resident fell into the elevator shaft of the unfinished residential complex from the height of the second floor and was hospitalized with various injuries. Why the incident occurred is also still unknown.

It is also unclear why access not only to the construction site but also to dangerous areas was so easily accessible to a person from the street.

Currently, the prosecutor«s office is conducting a procedural inspection, following which appropriate response measures may be taken, including the initiation of an administrative or criminal case.
