Truck and Bus Collide on Tolmachevskoye Highway; Driver Escapes Through Window

A head-on collision occurred between a truck and bus number 28 on Tolmachevskoye Highway in Novosibirsk.

As a reader of NGS reported, the truck veered into the oncoming lane.

«We were driving behind, we were the first to start helping people get off the bus, called an ambulance, pulled out the driver — he broke the window and climbed out, his doors were blocked due to the impact on the right side. All passengers are unharmed, they were already picked up by the next bus. What happened to the second driver is unknown,» she said. «According to the driver, the truck swerved into the oncoming lane. The driver is feeling a bit unwell, his cough is concerning. The conductor has a split lip and a large bump on his forehead.»

According to her, the owner of the truck arrived at the scene of the accident. Traffic police officers have also already arrived.

As reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Novosibirsk Region, a traffic police crew is working at the scene.

According to preliminary data, near house 27k1 on Tolmachevskoye Highway, a Mitsubishi truck, while making a turn, failed to yield to a bus moving along the route.

Medical assistance was provided to the driver and conductor at the scene, and they refused hospitalization.
