Third Victim Dies After MVD Training Center Explosion

A third victim has died in Nizhny Novgorod after an explosion at an MVD training center in Syktyvkar, despite efforts by medics at the PIMU burn center.

In Nizhny Novgorod, the third victim of the explosion of a training-simulation grenade at the MVD training center in Syktyvkar has died. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Komi Republic.

The tragic incident occurred on January 15 at the MVD training center in Syktyvkar. One of the instructors activated a training-simulation grenade in the auditorium. Renovation was underway in the building, and construction materials nearby caught fire from the explosion.

In total, more than 30 people were injured in the incident, two died in hospitals, and the third victim was transported to Nizhny Novgorod on January 21. Medics at the PIMU burn center fought for his life, but the patient passed away.
