Teens Surround, Strangle, and Shoot Peer in Mytishchi Attack

The incident in Mytishchi involved a group of teens attacking a peer with strangulation and an air gun.
In Mytishchi near Moscow, a crowd of teenagers beat a young man near the «4Daily» shopping center on Mira Street. Videos that appeared online show the teens chasing a peer. When he falls after being hit in the legs, one of them starts strangling him. The surrounding teens swear and shout: «Get up!» «Beat him!» One of them pulls out a pistol, presumably an air gun, and shoots at the victim lying in the snow.
A member of the group recorded the entire assault on video, which later surfaced online.
According to preliminary information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the fight broke out after a conflict. The participants were taken to a police station. They were identified as two 12-year-old boys, who were questioned in the presence of their parents.
«No reports of injuries from medical institutions have been received so far,» added the press service of the Moscow region police. «Currently, police officers are conducting measures to identify the shooter and clarify all circumstances of the incident. A decision will be made based on the investigation in accordance with the law.»
