Teenager runs away from Tara orphanage, found in Bolsherechensky district

A 17-year-old boy ran away from an orphanage in the Omsk region town of Tara, prompting a search. Investigators later confirmed he was found safe in a nearby district.

In the Omsk region, a 17-year-old pupil of the Tara Children«s Home is being sought. Yesterday, January 28, he left the institution. Where the boy was at the time was unknown. This was reported by the regional investigative committee.

The teenager was wearing a black coat, sneakers of the same color, joggers and a balaclava. His height is about 160 centimeters (5 feet 3 inches), his eyes are blue, his build is slim, and his hair is cut short.

Investigators launched a pre-investigation check into the disappearance of the minor.

«Request to citizens: if you know the whereabouts of the boy, report by phone to the Investigative Committee at 8 (38171) 214-36 or to the police — 102».

[Updated January 30 at 15:26] The investigative committee reported that the boy was found in the Bolsherechensky district.

«No illegal actions were committed against him. Preventive conversations are being held with the teenager.»

Earlier, NGS55.RU reported how many missing Omsk residents were found by volunteers of the PSO «Dobrospas-Omsk» in 2025. In total, 535 search requests were received: of them 212 missing were minors, 323 were adults.
