A serious accident occurred yesterday, January 26. A woman from Stavropol chose an unsafe speed and did not account for complex weather conditions, thus causing a collision with another car. As a result of the impact, two people were injured.

According to the Stavropol State Traffic Inspectorate, the accident occurred around 08:00 on Petrovskaya Street in Svetlograd. The driver of a Chevrolet Cruze exceeded the speed limit, skidded, and ended up in the oncoming lane, where it collided with an IZh 27175-40.
As a result, the 68-year-old driver of the domestic car and a 49-year-old female passenger of the foreign car were injured. They were taken with injuries to Petrovskaya Hospital.
It turned out that the driver of the Chevrolet was a 26-year-old resident of the Turkmen District, who in the last two years had been held administratively liable for traffic violations once. Her driving experience is four years. At the time of the accident, she was sober.
Meanwhile, the morning of January 27 in the Petrovsky District began not with coffee, but with emergency restrictions. From 07:50, traffic of all types was closed on the highway from Svetlograd to Blagodarny to Budyonnovsk. The section from the 1st to the 33rd kilometer was affected. The reason is strong side wind, blizzard, and practically zero visibility.
