Security Guard Dies at Workplace in Maksidom

A security guard at the Maksidom construction hypermarket on Shefskaya Street in Yekaterinburg died on the morning of January 25. The tragedy occurred at 9 a.m.

A colleague of the deceased said: «He just came to work, fell, and died. This is very suspicious; it»s the third man in January, and all died from pneumonia. Eight people are on sick leave. All employees were given masks.«

According to available information, there are no signs of criminal activity in the security guard«s death. Representatives of the Investigative Committee did not comment on the situation.

The administration of the retail chain could not promptly provide a comment on the incident.

In December 2025, a 20-year-old warehouse employee died as a result of an accident when he was crushed by a freight elevator.
