Riazan man to be discharged after gas explosion in Borki

A resident of the Borki neighborhood, who was trapped under the debris of his collapsed house, has managed to recover in a week. YA62.RU was told this by the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Ryazan region almost a week after the household gas explosion.

As of January 29, Roman is feeling well.

“Everything is fine with him, he is finishing treatment,” the press service of the Ryazan Ministry of Health told us.

The private two-story house of 38-year-old Roman collapsed early in the morning on January 21. According to investigators, the cause was a household gas explosion — a leak occurred. The victim was alone in the building and, according to neighbors, managed to get out on his own from under the rubble. He was hospitalized in the regional hospital in serious condition.

“His leg was covered in blood, severe bruises on his left arm, shoulder… And he complained about his spine. Well, in a state of shock. He couldn«t move, standing naked, only in underpants, we put felt boots on him, put a jacket on, wrapped him in two blankets,” said neighbor Alexey Sidorov.

Roman lived alone in the collapsed house: he has a son, but is divorced from his wife. He had a dog named Alpha, which, according to neighbors, died under the rubble.
