Power returns to Arkhangelsk district after grid failure

The district has experienced multiple power outages throughout the winter season.
Electricity has been restored to residents of the Pinezhsky district after a grid failure. This was announced by district head Lyudmila Kolik.
«Dear residents! The power is back on in Pinezhye! If you have experienced any problems during this period, please report them to the Unified Emergency Dispatch Service by calling 2-28-01,» she wrote.
The accident occurred on a power transmission line on the section between Lukovetsky and Siya.
At the end of December, a failure also left the Pinezhsky and part of the Kholmogorsky districts without power. The outages were caused by heavy snowfall that has not ceased in various parts of Pomorye. According to the governor, the Arkhangelsk branch of «Rosseti Severo-Zapad» (Russian Grids North-West) has been operating on high alert for several days. Over 2,000 kilometers of power lines were brought down.
On the morning of 19 December, residents of houses in the city center suddenly lost power after a 10 kV cable line was shut down. It was restored in the evening. Residents of the villages of Bobrovo, Khorkovo, and Novinki also complained about electricity problems — according to them, their power has been going out for several days.
Similar mass outages occurred in the city on 14 December. At that time, residents of Voskresenskaya Street, Karla Liebknecht Street, Lenin Square, as well as Galushina Street and Leningradsky Prospekt faced inconveniences.
In Murmansk and Severomorsk, a massive blackout has been ongoing for a day. The cities were left without electricity due to the collapse of five power line supports.
