Port Arthur Fire Causes Thick Smoke Over Private Sector
This afternoon, a serious fire occurred in the Port Arthur district. Video showing thick plumes of gray smoke rising into the air over a private sector was published on the Telegram channel «Incident Omsk». The footage shows fire trucks stationed at the house where the fire broke out, and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) on the roof of the building.
The press service of the regional EMERCOM told an NGS55.RU correspondent that in Port Arthur today, a house on 5th Krasnoarmeyskaya Street was on fire. The fire report was received at 11:29, and 6 units of special equipment and 23 employees were dispatched to the scene.
«A residential two-story house and a garage were on fire. Open burning was extinguished at 12:50, with no casualties reported. The total area of the premises affected by the fire was 100 square meters,» the department said.
They also clarified that the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and it will take at least 10 days. Investigators will find out whether the fire started in the house or in the garage and what caused it.
