Police in Rostov have commented on the incident near the Pervomaysky District Court. On the morning of January 29, a taxi exploded near the building. The vehicle caught fire. There were no passengers or driver inside.
«The Rostov police reported the cause of the emergency. The driver smoked in the taxi, which runs on gas, so it caught fire. There was no explosion as such. There is no criminal element in this story,» the police said.
According to information from an eyewitness, the car caught fire immediately after the explosion, which frightened local residents, and was almost completely destroyed.
