Pets Killed in Fire Near Gatchina
A fire in the village of Romanovka in Gatchinsky District, Leningrad Region, destroyed a house and an outbuilding. Seven goats and several dogs perished in the fire.

On the evening of January 28, a fire broke out in the village of Romanovka, completely destroying a private house and an outbuilding.
Firefighters and emergency crews were deployed to the scene to handle the blaze and its aftermath.
According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Leningrad Region (GU MChS), a one-story log house with an area of 64 square meters and a frame-and-panel outbuilding were engulfed in flames. The total area of the fire was 96 square meters.
While extinguishing the fire, firefighters discovered dead animals. According to emergency services, seven goats and several dogs were in the outbuilding and could not be saved.
On site, crews from the 42nd and 103rd fire stations continue to work, dousing the area to eliminate the consequences of the fire.
