Model's memory triggered by son's photo after Moscow assault

The sister of 33-year-old model Angelika Tartanova from Krasnodar, who was in intensive care for about two weeks with injuries after a brutal beating, told MSK1.RU about the victim«s condition and what is known about the search for her attacker.

Angelika Tartanova stopped communicating since November 28. Personal belongings were left in the apartment she rented in Moscow. After almost two weeks, on December 9, it became known that the model is in the intensive care unit of City Clinical Hospital No. 1 named after N. I. Pirogov — doctors performed a craniotomy on her. The model was admitted to the medical facility with injuries, presumably of a criminal nature. Law enforcement opened a criminal case regarding the incident.

According to her sister, the girl is conscious but can remember little.

«My sister is now in rehabilitation. We have no parents, and her son is still a minor and hasn»t come to see her. It«s a long way. He stayed with his father,» the model«s sister told MSK1.RU. »As I understood, they haven«t found [the attacker] yet, no information has been given. She remembers very partially. She eats, walks, does everything herself. The only thing is, she doesn»t remember how the amnesia started.«

The sister also said that Angelika cannot immediately remember relatives and friends. But if you show the girl a photo of a close person, after a while she will remember him.

«If you tell her that someone is coming, she might ask, »And who is that?« She remembers her son. You show a photo — she remembers. First she forgets, then she remembers,» added the model«s sister.

Recall that the model«s relatives raised the alarm on November 28 when they couldn»t contact the girl. Then her sister filed a report with the police and asked a friend to go to Angelika«s home. The guy was able to enter the apartment thanks to keys left in the mailbox. There he found all the documents and the missing woman»s phone.

The model«s sister suspects that the girl»s boyfriend might be responsible for what happened. After all, she stopped communicating with her loved ones because he wanted that. Meanwhile, the missing woman«s friend Inna, in a conversation with MSK1.RU, confirmed that Angelika had a boyfriend, but she is sure that he could not have harmed her.
