Missing man's VK account active in Moscow Oblast disappearance

In Moscow Oblast, under strange circumstances, 22-year-old Andrei Makeev has gone missing. The young man disappeared in the village of Bogorodskoye in Orekhovo-Zuyevo Urban Okrug, Moscow Oblast. He has not been found for a week — on 23 October, Andrei left his girlfriend«s house and went in an unknown direction.

Description of missing Andrei Makeev: normal build, height 180 centimeters (5 feet 11 inches), blue eyes, light brown hair. At the time of disappearance, he was wearing a gray jacket, black wide-leg pants, white sneakers. Distinguishing features: scar on the right forearm.

The missing person«s brother — Alexei told MSK1.RU details of the incident. According to him, his brother worked as an electrician and had never disappeared for long before. If something happened to him, he would contact his relatives in any way.

«We were sitting, drinking with girlfriends and friends. They were sitting at his girlfriend«s house. He got ready and went somewhere, only said: “I»ll be back soon”», — Andrei Makeev«s brother told MSK1.RU. — «Around 3:30, he recorded a voice message: “I»m coming, I«ll be with you soon”. In it, he said that he was walking along some river and didn»t understand where to go. He didn«t explain if he went to a store or somewhere else».

Andrei«s brother was told by friends that the young man was missing only a day after his disappearance.

«He didn«t answer me anything. I don»t understand why they couldn«t say it right away, — added Alexei Makeev. — They delayed for a day. Anything could happen in that time. Now, several search teams and police are joining the search. They came today and started questioning. A missing person report was filed».

According to Alexei Makeev, it«s strange that someone is logging into his brother»s page on VKontakte (VK). The brother also dismissed the version that the young man might be hiding at his girlfriend«s place, as they broke up about a month ago.

«He, of course, has a hidden status. But someone is logging into VK. Before, it showed “was online this week”, and now “recently”. I called him, and he immediately had an auto-reply», — said Andrei«s brother.
