Mine Collapse at Gaisky GOK Kills Worker
A worker was killed in a collapse of a mine working at the Gaisky Mining and Processing Plant.
An emergency occurred at one of the industrial enterprises in the Orenburg Region. According to an operational report from the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), it happened on January 26 at 06:25 in the Gaisky Municipal District.
A mine working collapsed — the area is still unknown. According to updated information, a miner from the underground section sustained fatal injuries. Colleagues from TASS, citing the press service of the Gaisky Mining and Processing Plant (Gaisky GOK), specify that the emergency occurred precisely at this enterprise, the deceased was born in 1983, and necessary assistance will be provided to his family and loved ones.
It is also reported that a commission has already been formed at the enterprise to investigate the causes and circumstances of the incident. The regional Investigative Committee and prosecutor«s office have not yet commented on the incident.
