Man kills dog after woman's rejection in Kstovo

A brutal incident occurred in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Region. A local man, after being rejected by a woman, first tried to break into her home with a knife and then attacked a stray dog.

According to the victim, she met the man at a store in September. «Since then, he has been following me, and I was tolerant of him. Then he started threatening physical violence. He said that if he saw me with anyone, that would be it,» the woman said.

On the day of the incident, unable to get into the apartment, the attacker went outside, caught the first dog he came across, and stabbed it. The wounded animal ran away.

The bloodied dog was later found by volunteers and urgently taken to a veterinary clinic, where doctors are fighting for its life.

Police reported that a complaint was filed against the man on January 31. He was detained and taken to the station for questioning. An investigation into the incident is underway.
