A resident of Kazan believes the ambulance doctor is guilty of her father«s death. She has filed a lawsuit against the medical aid station (SSMP) and the Ministry of Health, demanding compensation for moral damages of 4 million rubles (approximately $44,400 at current rates). For details, the correspondent of 116.RU contacted the plaintiff»s lawyer, Bulat Mukhamedzhanov.
In 2023, the 52-year-old father fell ill and called an ambulance. The medical team did not detect any acute conditions, administered a painkiller injection, and gave him a pill. The next day, he was found dead at his country house. The official cause of death was acute myocardial infarction with rupture of the posterior wall of the left ventricle and hemotamponade.
A forensic examination found that the patient did not receive necessary treatment, was not taken to the cardiology department, no refusal of hospitalization was documented, and no correct diagnosis was made.
The ambulance doctor was charged under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, «Causing death by negligence,» but she did not admit guilt.
In February 2025, the criminal case was terminated due to the expiration of the statute of limitations for prosecution. According to the patient«s daughter, the medic continues to work as a paramedic, and ambulance representatives have not apologized to the family.
According to the Telegram channel Baza, after the incident, the deceased«s daughter even quit her job at an insurance company, not wanting to be associated with the medical field.
The lawsuit against the Ambulance Station and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan was filed by the resident in 2024. The ministry did not comment on the situation to the 116.RU correspondent.
