Infant dies after home birth in pool in Moscow
During a home birth in Moscow, an infant died after possibly being submerged in water for an extended period.
The tragedy occurred in one of the houses on Polina Osipenko Street in Moscow. It is known that on Sunday, December 14, a young mother had a home birth. The woman decided to give birth in an inflatable pool in the apartment. Unfortunately, the process did not go as planned, and the child died. MSK1.RU reported this, citing a source in emergency services.
As several Telegram channels write, the infant may have been underwater for up to 30 minutes. An hour after birth, the baby passed away. It was not possible to revive him. The mother was hospitalized.
Neither the Investigative Committee nor other services have yet officially commented on the situation.
Earlier, on December 13, the father of a 9-year-old girl beat her in a grocery store in front of other customers and employees. As soon as the video appeared online, investigative authorities and police became interested. A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Failure to fulfill duties in raising a minor». Soon, guardianship authorities will visit the family for an inspection.
