Fire breaks out in Chelyabinsk high-rise
A man was injured in a fire in a fourth-floor apartment, found unconscious after carbon monoxide poisoning.

The incident occurred on Sunday, January 25, in the Metallurgichesky District of Chelyabinsk. The fire started in an apartment on the fourth floor of building No. 30 on Bogdana Khmelnitskogo Street.

Arriving firefighters promptly extinguished the fire.

25 people evacuated the building on their own, including the owner of the burning apartment. Arriving firefighters evacuated five more residents. On the seventh floor, rescuers found a man unconscious from inhaling carbon monoxide; he was handed over to an ambulance team.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished after the arrival of EMERCOM crews.
