On the afternoon of January 24, residents of Krasnodar heard a powerful explosion in the area of «Basket Hall». According to eyewitnesses, it occurred at an auto service center on Sokolova Street.
Preliminary reports from passersby indicated that several cars were damaged. The press service of the regional Emergency Ministry stated that at 17 Sokolova Street, a gas cylinder exploded in a two-story administrative building, causing the roof to collapse over an area of about 100 square meters. There was no fire.
Four people were injured in the incident, and 24 personnel along with 10 special vehicles were deployed to the scene.
