Authorities in Volgograd Oblast announced a drone threat alert early on February 1, advising residents to take precautions.

On the morning of February 1, a drone threat regime was introduced in Volgograd Oblast. Residents received an alert via SMS from the Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) at 04:43.
The message said: «Stay calm. Avoid open areas of the streets. Do not approach windows. Be vigilant and careful.»
At the time of publication, there was no information about restrictions at Volgograd International Airport.
Earlier, a similar regime was in effect on the night of January 21-22. Then, according to the Ministry of Defense, four drones were shot down over the region. Because of this, flights were temporarily restricted at Gumrak Airport, causing passengers on a flight to Dubai to wait for departure until morning.
