Drone Attacks Strike Voronezh Oblast, Triggering Sirens and Fire

The threat of drone attacks in Voronezh Oblast was in effect for seven hours. It was announced the previous day — on January 22 at 23:19, and the all-clear was given in the morning at 06:23. During the night, direct drone strikes threatened the Buturlinovsky and Rossoshansky districts — sirens were activated there at 00:06 and 01:33 respectively. The threat in both municipalities was canceled at five in the morning.
Immediately after the all-clear was announced for the entire region, Governor Alexander Gusev reported on the consequences of the night attacks. On-duty air defense forces in the sky over one of the districts of Voronezh Oblast detected and destroyed two drones. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties. However, debris from the downed drone fell on a private house — and the roof caught fire.
— The fire was promptly extinguished, — said Alexander Gusev. — A family of three has been temporarily accommodated with relatives. Restoration work will begin in the near future.
Voronezh Mayor Sergei Petrin recently spoke about how houses damaged in attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the city on December 10, 2025 and January 10 are being repaired. Work on the high-rise building damaged at the end of last year was promised to be completed within a month. However, it turned out that they are only about to begin, and more than 10 people are still living in temporary accommodation centers. For more details, see the article on Voronezh1.ru.
