College Student in Perm Has Epileptic Seizure Due to Vaping: Video

A student at Perm Radio Engineering College had an epileptic seizure. Social media claims he felt unwell due to vaping. We asked the regional Ministry of Health about the young man«s condition.

Footage spread on social media showing a girl performing chest compressions on a young man lying on the ground. A crowd is standing around them. The video caption states that the young man felt unwell while vaping. Everything happened in the courtyard of the radio engineering college. As written on social media, the guy was taken away by ambulance. Later, posts were updated with information that the student had an epileptic seizure.

In the video, students are watching the events, someone off-camera dials the emergency services number, asks for an ambulance to be sent, and dictates the college«s address.

The Ministry of Health of Perm Krai told 59.RU that the young man was brought to the hospital in satisfactory condition. He was examined and given medical assistance, and no reasons for hospitalization were found. The ministry noted that the young man had experienced such seizures before. He was sent to a clinic for observation. Whether the seizure actually started due to vaping was not answered by 59.RU.
