Car hits pedestrians in Neftyaniki, windshield shattered

Today, January 30, a car accident with casualties occurred in the Neftyaniki district of Omsk. At 15:10, the traffic police received a report that near house number 43 on Khimikov Street, close to the Khimik cultural center, a 42-year-old man driving a car hit two pedestrians. They were crossing at an unregulated crosswalk.

Police officers who arrived at the scene preliminarily established that the driver of a KIA car, a man born in 1984, while driving on Khimikov Street near house number 43, hit two pedestrians who were crossing the roadway at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

After the accident, a 50-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman required medical assistance, according to the Omsk police. In photos published by the department, it is visible that the impact hit the windshield, leaving cracks on it.

An investigation is currently being conducted, after which all causes and circumstances of the accident will be finally established.

Earlier today, the department reported that the boy who was hit by a trolleybus yesterday still remains in intensive care.
