Bus Overturns Near Bor in Cut-Off Incident
A passenger bus with passengers inside overturned in the Nizhny Novgorod region on the morning of January 29. Witnesses report that the vehicle flew into a ditch after being cut off by another car.
The accident occurred around nine in the morning in the area of the village of Syrokhvatovo near Bor. It involved route No. 126, which connects the village of Ulyanovo and the district center.
According to the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS), the bus driver lost control and veered into a ditch – the PAZ bus overturned. According to the driver, between the villages of Syrokhvatovo and Rekshino, a passenger car cut him off.
Drivers passing by rushed to help the passengers who were in the cabin at the time of the accident. They helped people get out of the cabin and picked up passengers who were going in the same direction.
Medics who arrived at the scene examined three victims. One person suffered bruises and refused hospitalization. The others were taken to the Bor Central District Hospital in a condition of moderate severity.
The day before, another emergency occurred. An electric train traveling on the route Kazan – Nizhny Novgorod was involved in an accident in Tatarstan. The train hit a car-sharing car that drove onto the tracks on a red traffic light signal.
