Recall that a soil collapse near an apartment building occurred on January 25. Earth with large trees slipped from the slope of a neighboring plot directly into the yard.
Today, the landslide has reactivated. According to the report from the duty officer of the Sochi branch of the Central Control Center of the Main Directorate of EMERCOM for Krasnodar Krai, the trees have leaned heavily and are pressing against the windows of a residential building.
Rescuers are using chainsaws to cut down trees threatening the building. A similar call at the same address was received by rescuers on January 20. At that time, EMERCOM employees spent seven hours cutting trees that had leaned towards the residential building due to landslide processes. This is reported by the press service of the Southern Regional Search and Rescue Service of Russia«s EMERCOM.
According to information from the press service of the Sochi administration, about 400 cubic meters of soil have been removed from the site after the repeated landslide.
