40 Ukrainian drones shot down overnight
Russian air defense forces destroyed dozens of aerial targets in a night-time operation. Fires and damage were reported in Krasnodar Krai.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the night of January 26, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 40 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type. The operation to repel the air attack lasted from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Most of the targets — 34 drones — were neutralized in the sky over Krasnodar Krai. Four more were shot down over the waters of the Azov Sea, and one each over Bryansk and Kaluga oblasts.
In Krasnodar Krai, the falling debris from the downed aircraft caused fires at several enterprises and damage to several residential buildings. One casualty has been reported.
Due to the incident, temporary flight restrictions were imposed at Krasnodar Airport. Around 7 a.m., the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) announced the cancellation of these restrictions.
