Residents of house No. 19 on Lermontov Street have again appealed to Alexander Bastrykin, head of Russia«s Investigative Committee, as their relocation, scheduled for December 2025, has not occurred. This was reported on January 22 by the Telegram channel »Govorit Saratov«.

«The house was urgently included in the regional relocation program, and funds were allocated. According to the governor during a personal meeting, the house was supposed to be relocated in December 2025. All deadlines have passed. Similarly, court proceedings have concluded, proving that living in the premises is dangerous for life and health due to its dilapidated condition,» the channel quotes the residents.

According to them, gas has been cut off, there is no heating, water is freezing, and the air temperature in the rooms ranges from 0 to 10–15 degrees Celsius (32 to 50–59 degrees Fahrenheit). At the same time, they receive significant electricity bills.

«There are minors and elderly people in the house. However, instead of promptly and timely relocating people, the administration has appointed a management company that has started imposing inflated tariffs, without having information about the apartments and their areas, doing nothing, and never visiting our house. In connection with the above, we ask that measures be taken against the officials delaying the relocation, with their being held accountable,» the residents of the house appealed.

In May 2025, Alexander Bastrykin drew attention to this problem and demanded that the regional head of the Investigative Committee, Dmitry Kostin, investigate the reasons for the delay in initiating a criminal case on the violation of the residents« rights.

The house, built in 1917, was recognized as dilapidated back in 2025, but at that time it was not included in the list for relocation and demolition. The building already had damaged roofing and load-bearing structures, a faulty heating system, and no gas supply.
