Residents of the Leninsky District have complained about an invasion of rats running through the stairwell and getting into apartments. People blame the management company «Remzhilzakazchik» (Repair and Housing Contractor), which, they say, does not remove trash from the garbage chute in a timely manner. This was reported to 74.RU by a resident of building No. 23 on Pogranichnaya Street in Chelyabinsk, who also shared a video.

Residents are taking measures to fight the rodents, including using poison in the stairwells.

«Our building still has a garbage chute, and the trash was last taken out on December 30 and January 13,» Irina told 74.RU. «Because the garbage wasn»t removed during the holidays, a horde of rats appeared. There are more and more of them: they run through the stairwell, get into coat pockets, and enter apartments. Some residents have started poisoning them on their own, which is why there are corpses underfoot in the stairwell, and other rats are eating them.«

The scene of dead rats and ongoing rodent activity is distressing for people living there.

According to Irina, residents have contacted the management company about this problem several times, but there has been no response.

The building«s garbage chute has become a source of infestation due to infrequent waste removal.

The management company «Remzhilzakazchik», which services this building, told 74.RU that the garbage chute will be cleaned in the near future and that the stairwells will undergo sanitization treatment for rodents.

Let us recall that two years ago, residents of buildings on Teplotekh faced a rat invasion, as did those in the «Lesoparkovy» residential complex.
