New Psychiatric Hospital Building to Be Built in Yaroslavl Region

A new building for the regional psychiatric hospital is planned to be constructed outside Yaroslavl. This was announced by the regional Ministry of Health.

“At present, the possibility of constructing a new building at the address: Yaroslavl Region, Yaroslavl Municipal District, village of Spasskoye, house 29 — on the territory of the existing land plot of the psychiatric hospital is being considered. Project documentation is being revised due to the change in the object«s location address and new construction conditions,” authorities clarified.

Recall that the need to build a new wing for the psychiatric hospital was first discussed in the Yaroslavl Region government back in 2024.

“Patients are admitted in ten old buildings, two of which are located in a suburban area. The issues have already been worked out at the level of the Russian Ministry of Health,” noted Governor Mikhail Yevrayev.

The building was planned to be located on Zagorodny Sad Street in Yaroslavl. The wing was supposed to accommodate 312 beds.

It is assumed that the project will be implemented with the participation of federal funding.
