The woman was referred to the Pyatigorsk Oncological Dispensary with a large ovarian cyst. She was diagnosed with mucinous cancer and had the tumor removed, which reached a diameter of 40 centimeters (about 16 inches).

The 60-year-old patient was admitted to the Pyatigorsk medical facility with complaints of abdominal enlargement. Over two years, it had gradually swollen. It turned out the situation was serious—she was diagnosed with low-grade mucinous ovarian cancer. The woman had to undergo surgery, but everything went successfully—the tumor did not rupture.

As reported by the Ministry of Health of Stavropol Krai, because the patient had the first stage of the disease, chemotherapy was not prescribed. The woman will undergo dynamic observation at the dispensary.

Recall that an unusual case recently occurred in Yessentuki: a three-year-old boy was brought to the city clinical hospital with complaints of severe pain and abdominal bloating. As reported by the medical facility, a pediatric surgeon ordered an X-ray, and on the image, doctors saw something no one expected: in the projection of the large intestine, there were dozens of small foreign bodies. It was later discovered that the child had swallowed more than 25 stones. The boy«s parents could not explain when exactly this happened. Medical staff suspect that the toddler might have done this during a walk or while playing outside.
