ARVI Cases Increase in Voronezh Oblast as Situation Worsens

During the week from January 19 to 25, 9,151 cases of acute respiratory viral infections were registered in Voronezh Oblast, according to the regional Rospotrebnadzor.
Nearly half of those affected are children under 14 years old (3,981 individuals). The previous week, healthcare workers recorded 8,728 cases, of which 3,547 were among children.
The Rospotrebnadzor office reminds residents of simple preventive measures: it is important to strengthen immunity, maintain a work-rest balance, dress appropriately for the weather, and when possible, avoid crowded places. During the surge in infections, it is recommended to wash hands frequently, use protective masks, and get a flu shot, as unvaccinated people tend to experience more severe illness.
At the first symptoms of illness, it is necessary to consult a doctor and refrain from self-medication.
