At a Yekaterinburg hospital, civic activists tore down and trampled a poster explaining types of female contraception. Anti-abortion campaigner Natalya Moskvitina posted the scandalous footage on 1 October.

The clip, which went viral online, focuses on inspections of women’s consultation clinics and on how they dissuade women from terminating pregnancies. Midway through the video, Natalya Moskvitina and Mark Itskovich, head of the Service of Perinatal Psychologists of the Ministerstvo zdravookhraneniya Sverdlovskoy oblasti (Sverdlovsk Region Ministry of Health), tear a poster about contraceptives off the wall at the No. 1 women’s consultation clinic and, smiling, stomp on it.
