3 Exercises for Instant Facial Contour Lift to Look Younger

Initial improvements in facial freshness can be observed shortly after performing the exercises.
Time spares no one — cheeks sag, the clarity of the chin and jawline is lost, and jowls appear. Cosmetology and plastic surgery have long known what to do about this. But if you«re not ready for radical interventions, there are gentler ways to regain youth — special exercises based on the principles of kinesiology and myofascial release can provide visible results immediately after performing them.
Cosmetologist, osteotherapist, and facial fitness trainer Lyudmila Elisevetskaya shared the technique for performing them with «Doctor Piter».
Exercise 1. Relaxing the Platysma
The chin-neck muscle (platysma) is the main framework of the lower third of the face. With age, it weakens and sags, leading to so-called «turkey neck.» By relaxing the platysma, you can restore clarity to the facial oval, smooth the neck, lift jowls, and get rid of marionette lines. The exercise can be performed every day.
Starting position sitting or standing;
firmly fix the subclavian area near the shoulder with your fingertips;
pull your head to the opposite side, creating tension between your fingers and the lower jaw/ear;
rotate your head, alternately relaxing and stretching the tension;
work through the entire clavicle and sternum in this way.
Perform the exercise for 1–3 minutes on each side.
Exercise 2. Lymphatic Drainage Massage for Cheekbones
Swelling is a frequent companion to age-related changes. Improving lymph flow instantly makes facial contours clearer.
Apply cream or serum to your face;
with the knuckles of your clenched fist, stroke 10 times from the center of the chin to the earlobes;
with the pads of your middle fingers, go from the wings of the nose to the temples — also 10 times;
lightly tap the cheekbone area with your fingertips.
Exercise 3. Fascial Lifting for Jaw Muscles
Spasmed jaw muscles visually weigh down the face, and their relaxation instantly lifts the oval.
Find the jaw muscles — they are easy to feel when you clench your jaws;
knead the muscles — make circular movements with your thumbs for 30 seconds;
do a gentle stretch: open your mouth, place two fingers above the bone of the lower jaw at the attachment point of the jaw muscle, and gently pull the jaw down, opening the mouth. Hold your mouth open for 15 seconds. Repeat 3 times.
Why It Works
The face has 43 muscles united in a single fascial network. The exercises work in three ways:
strengthening weakened muscles (platysma);
relaxing spasmed areas (jaw muscles);
improving microcirculation (lymphatic drainage).
Important: perform the exercises smoothly, without pain. The main thing is to do them regularly, even 1-2 times a day. And never do facial gymnastics or massage if there is an inflammatory process on the skin.
