Warrior center opens branch at Far Eastern Federal University

The patriotic 'Warrior' center is establishing a branch in Primorsky Krai at Far Eastern Federal University, which will feature a training ground for military-patriotic education programs targeting youth.

The patriotic center «Warrior» will open a branch in Primorsky Krai on the basis of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). The proposal to open a branch of the «WARRIOR» Center in Primorye was previously made by Yury Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District. The agreement has already been signed.

According to Primorye Governor Oleg Kozhemyako, the branch will focus on patriotic education. At the training ground, which is currently under construction, practical training and shooting instruction will take place. Mentors may include heroes of the Special Military Operation.

“The branch will implement programs for young people in military-sports training and military-patriotic education. In the summer, we plan to implement our flagship program «Time of Young Heroes» on the territory of the regional children«s center »Yunga« and at the All-Russian Children»s Center «Ocean»,” said the director of the Center in Moscow, Dmitry Shevchenko.

The «Warrior» Center (Center for the Development of Military-Sports Training and Patriotic Education of Youth) is a Russian public-state organization established by order of the President of the Russian Federation to train citizens (mainly aged 14–35) in military-applied skills, patriotic education, and preparation for army service. In branches across the country, cadets study tactical medicine, drone control, firearms training, and tactics.

Centers are already open in 21 regions of Russia, including Moscow, Belgorod, Pskov, Tyumen, and Kemerovo Oblasts; the republics of Buryatia, Kalmykia, and Tatarstan; Khabarovsk Krai; the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug; and others. Branches operate on the basis of specially equipped centers, camps, and schools, providing practical training.

It is an autonomous non-profit organization for additional professional education. The founders are:

the all-Russian union of public associations «Russian Union of Martial Arts» (OSOO «RSBI»). It has existed for more than 20 years and is registered in Moscow. The organization engages in the activities of other public and non-profit associations and also works in the sports sphere. Key figures in the leadership include Sergei Vladilenovich Kiriyenko, who has been co-chairman for several years. The founders and the number of employees are not officially disclosed. As of 2024, assets are estimated at approximately 76 million rubles (about $831,000 at current rates). The association has a branched structure, represented in 80 regions of Russia, with a total of 82 subdivisions operating. Yury Trutnev serves as co-chairman.

the Federal State Budgetary Institution «Ros Patriot Center» (FSBI «Ros Patriot Center») is a federal state budgetary institution subordinate to the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education «State University of Education». This is an educational institution with a rich history that has all the necessary licenses and branches. The university often participates in legal disputes, mainly on property and organizational issues. At the same time, the court proceedings do not lead to enforcement proceedings. No critical legal risks have been identified. In 2025, a student of the institute was detained on suspicion of terrorism; the case is still under investigation.
