Residents of the garden non-commercial partnerships (SNT) in the Blizhniye and Dalniye Gardens area of Voronezh have been without electricity for a second day. The outages began during a heavy snowstorm on January 31, and on February 1, when temperatures dropped to -18°C (-0.4°F), the situation did not improve. This was reported to a Voronezh1.ru correspondent by local resident Yekaterina.

The day before, power was cut off in the morning, then restored around midday — but only for a couple of hours; by 18:30, the Gardens were again plunged into darkness. Closer to midnight, power was returned, yet again only briefly.

“Around four in the morning it went out again, the third time in 24 hours. It’s still off,” shared Yekaterina at 10:30 a.m.

According to her, the exact cause of the power outage is unknown. But local residents suspect that the problem is again with the old cable laid back in the 1950s. It still hasn«t been replaced.

In the Gardens« chat, the situation in the SNT is called a “complete blackout,” and residents share correspondence with “Voronezhenergo.” The resource-supplying organization only states that it cannot help Voronezh residents in this situation — the problem is not on their networks.

About why people are forced to go without electricity for days on end — we wrote in detail in our report. There, we also tried to find out who can and should help solve the electricity problem in Blizhniye and Dalniye Gardens.
