Residents of Ufa spoke out about the Planeta microdistrict, where high-rises were absent just 16 years ago. Citizens criticized the neighborhood, calling it a concrete jungle and claiming that there used to be a forest in its place. UFA1.RU presents readers« opinions.

According to the first commenter, life on Planeta is so bad that it«s better for him to live in Chernikovka. He called the microdistrict a »hive«.

«In Chernikovka, there»s air pollution from oil refining!« retorted a Ufa resident (however, not everyone supported him).

«People don»t live in Chernikovka,« declared another.

A resident of Planeta jumped into the debate: she says she«s happy to live in her district.

«I»ve been to Chernikovka five times in 45 years. And that«s enough. I live on »Planeta« and I»m happy,« she stated.

Another city resident stated that he has always sympathized with the residents of the microdistrict.

«Overcrowding, the view from the window — »our windows face each other day and night.« A lifetime of watching and hiding from others» gazes. It«s a prison outside the home, and a lifelong one at that,» declared the resident.

And apartment prices, others say, are higher on Planeta than in Sipaylovo — even twice as high.

As our photojournalist wrote in his report from Planeta, previously the site of the microdistrict was a wasteland. Not all Ufa residents agreed with this statement: they claimed that the entire hill was covered with forest, which was later cut down.

Well, there was a forest, of course, but a small one; wastelands and garages were more common.

Some decided to gloat, asking how public transportation is on Planeta.

«Nonexistent,» briefly answered a Ufa resident.

Another said that buses 6, 57a, 75, and 350 frequently run from Planeta. He says it«s the only district from which you can leave. But from others you can»t?

They didn«t overlook the fact that there is no greenery on Planeta.

«Concrete jungle, almost no greenery. My acquaintance recently bought two apartments near the »Planeta« shopping center. She says she really likes this district. I don»t understand what there is to like. It desperately needs greenery,« declared a city resident.

Another reader wrote that there is greenery after all.

«The residential complex isn»t bad, in principle. There«s greenery in summer, in winter they clear snow from the sidewalks, everything is wonderful! There are too many buildings, true, but it»s no big deal, I even kind of like it!« he said.

Planeta is also called the «district of young mothers,» but they say in a few years it will become a pensioners« district.

«Ghetto,» wrote a user of our site.

«Affluent elite,» added another.
