Tyumen Region Creates Draft Commission

The governor of Tyumen Region has signed a document outlining the structure and responsibilities of a new commission for organizing military conscription.

Governor of Tyumen Region Alexander Moor has by his order approved the creation of a commission responsible for organizing the conscription of citizens for military service. The text of the document is posted on the official internet portal of the regional government.

According to the published regulations, the commission will include:

Governor of Tyumen Region;
Military commissar of the region;
Representatives of relevant departments of the regional government;
Doctors of the military commissariat.

The main task of the new body is to ensure the organized conduct of draft events.

The document also contains a number of instructions for units of the military commissariat and heads of municipal formations. They are instructed to organize the work of assembly points, conduct medical examinations of conscripts, and ensure timely consideration of their appeals and complaints.

It is planned to involve law enforcement agencies in the execution of tasks. Police are recommended to ensure public order protection at assembly points and at the railway station during the dispatch of draft teams. Also, vehicles intended for transporting young people will be checked.
