Tulips in the Volgograd Steppe: Admire, but Don't Pick

No photograph can fully capture the living beauty of steppe flowers.

It«s hard to believe this is a photo and not a painter»s canvas.

Such beauty can be seen just a short distance from the city limits.

Up close, the buds and leaves resemble a tropical jungle.

These spring flowers bear a distant resemblance to lilies.

Admit it, you already want to wander here through the grass and breathe in the scents of spring?

What saturated colors and smooth transitions of shades!

And what is this grasshopper doing here?

These flowers also have a wonderful fragrance.

This is roughly how honey is made.

It seems bees have already been here.

The flowers look like droplets of water, don«t they?

Looking is allowed, but picking is not advised.

The petals look as if woven from weightless silk.

It seems these aren«t flowers, but huge ladybugs.

Some flowers wither, while others are just blooming.

The flowers resemble stars in children«s drawings.

Or little suns.

No artist can paint beauty better than nature.

Red, yellow, and green are found not only on traffic lights.

As if an entire forest has grown from tulips.

Sometimes beauty can be found even among urban jungles.
