Tomsk cannot afford warm bus stops — mayor

Tomsk cannot equip warm public transport stops at the expense of the budget — it is too expensive, Tomsk Mayor Dmitry Makhinya told journalists.

«We are working on this, but unfortunately, it is not yet possible at the budget»s expense. We are still looking for an investor who would be willing to take this on. Perhaps they will be interested in the opportunity to install commercial objects there,« the mayor noted.

Earlier, we reported that the number of complaints about public transport in the cold has increased: on social networks, residents are outraged that they have to stand at stops for 25-30 minutes. Authorities reported that route drivers were violating schedules due to frozen gas stations. Recently, this problem, according to the mayor, has been solved.
