The peak of winter in St. Petersburg does not stop lovers of harsh nature, who head to the Gulf of Finland even in severe cold. Early in the evening on Friday, January 30, Laskovy Beach in the settlement of Solnechnoye was illuminated by the soft pink light of the setting sun. The setting sun, breaking through variable cloudiness, painted the sky in pastel shades. The air temperature at that moment was approximately -11 degrees Celsius (12°F).

It is in effect from 21:00 on January 30 to 10:00 on January 31. In some areas, the temperature may drop below -20 degrees Celsius (-4°F). Similar conditions are expected from 20:00 on January 31 to 11:00 on February 1. Additionally, until 13:00 on February 1, the «yellow» level remains in place due to the likelihood of ice and frost deposits.
