City services plan to actively remove snow from streets during the evening hours.
According to the city hall, heavy snowfall will continue throughout the day.
It is expected that within 24 hours, the snow cover in the city will increase by 17–20 centimeters.
Utility and road services continue work on clearing and treating streets.
Active snow removal will begin closer to night when precipitation intensity is expected to decrease.
According to weather forecasters, snowy and frosty weather will persist throughout the coming week.
It is noted that during the incomplete January, Nizhny Novgorod has already received 211% of the monthly precipitation norm.
