Snowboarders Compete on Eight-Meter High Ramp on Perm Esplanade

Photos from the event show athletes navigating the course and performing jumps on the eight-meter high esplanade setup.
This winter, an eight-meter high ramp was erected on the Perm esplanade. It was built specifically for the «Winter Sports Festival» (0+). On January 24, All-Russian snowboarding competitions in the slopestyle discipline «Snow Battle» took place there. Our photographer captured the action-packed tricks of the extreme sports athletes.
The All-Russian competitions were dedicated to one of the most spectacular parts of the slopestyle discipline — jibbing. It is included in the Olympic program. Amateur snowboarders were judged by a jury from the Russian Snowboarding Federation. The prize-winners and winners advanced to the final of the all-Russian competitions.
Athletes navigated a slalom-style course, performed tricks on jumps, and soared over obstacles. See how it unfolded in this brief photo report.
Earlier, we showed what the ice town looks like on the esplanade.
