Rostov CHP-2 Operating at Only Half Capacity

Not all power boilers at Rostov CHP-2, where an accident occurred in December, are still functioning.
Yury Slyusar, the governor of Rostov Oblast, reported in his Telegram channel that last month, the parameters of the heat transfer fluid were reduced for safe operation.
«Only two out of four boilers are working,»the governor cited the data.
Slyusar stated that he has taken the matter under personal control and has instructed the preparation of a procedure to «zero out» heating payments for periods when the heat supply was inadequate.
Problems with central heating in Rostov began in December 2025, when due to a technical defect at CHP-2, a large part of the city was left without heat.
At that time, authorities promised residents to recalculate charges for the unprovided service, but in January, some citizens, on the contrary, received increased bills.
City residents continue to report en masse about low temperatures in their apartments.
Previously, the head of the region had already commented on the reasons for the heat shortage in the city system.
