Over 600 million rubles allocated for three school extensions

City council deputies in Saratov have approved funding for constructing additions to three local schools.

Over 600 million rubles (approximately $6 million at current rates) have been allocated from the Saratov budget for the construction of extensions to schools No. 52, 63, and 100 in the Leninsky district. The corresponding budget amendments were adopted by city council deputies.
It is planned that this will create 1,150 student places: 400 each in schools No. 63 and No. 100, and another 350 in school No. 52. These extensions are expected to be operational by this fall.
Recall that in Saratov, 19 schools operate in two shifts. Moreover, in the Leninsky district, there are eight such educational institutions. After the opening of the new student places, only four will remain.
